Jean Bowler
 
has painted scenes around the 
world, capturing the unique images, light, color
and atmosphere.  Using watercolor, acrylic,
or pastels, she usually paints en plein air, 
absorbing the local essence of an area.
 
Her work has been shown in hundreds of art shows
around the world, where she has won awards.
She is in many private collections.
 
Her current affiliations are 
Salmagundi Club of New York,
Rowayton Arts Center
and Fairfield County
Plein Air Painters.
 
A graduate of University of California, Berkeley,
she has studied in art workshops in
California, the East Coast and Europe,
where recent trips were to the French Alps,
Florence and Rome.
